Beating depression simplified

This book offers hands-on, realistic and practical guidelines for people who suffer from depression, feel helpless or down. It is a depression workbook for adults that shows you how to overcome these debilitating emotional states step-by-step and how to cope with depression.
The writing style is authentic, personal and engaging and the author shows great compassion and empathy to his readers.
I bought this book because the title really intrigued me. How is it possible to learn to cope with depression in 30 days? As somebody who suffered from depression briefly during my college years, and was on medication for for a while his advice ... was very helpful. I found that the medication made me sluggish and made my thinking and mind feel foggy. It was definitely not a permanent solution and I wish that this book was around for me to read at that time.
The book also helped me to realize that when I am feeling down I can use some of the techniques described in the book to get me out of a negative spiral of thinking which could eventually lead to a state of depression.
The author gives an authentic account of how he suffered from depression himself and eventually overcame it. In the book he shares the strategies and techniques he learned through this experience.
These techniques and strategies are presented in thirty short sections and they teach you how to cope with depression. Thus they become more manageable and you will learn how to cope with depression and overcome it. It is kind of overcoming depression made easy.
Although the book has some minor printing errors I would still highly recommend it.
Even if you apply only a few of the techniques, strategies and concepts in this book it would be worth the small price you paid for it.
If you or a loved one are feeling helpless and down I recommend you buy this book! It will empower you to know how to beat depression and you will be able to use it for the rest of your life.
This book made me feel hopeful and excited that depression can be beaten!
